As we prepare for EOG testing, students in grades 3–5 will have the opportunity to retest if they are not proficient.We are confident our Redhawks will do amazing, but we’re excited they have a second chance if needed.
Be on the lookout for a ParentSquare form from the district to opt your student in prior to testing. We encourage all families of students in grades 3–5 to opt in so your child has this opportunity if needed.

In order to prepare for the 2026-27 school year, we require all parents and guardians to confirm their transportation plans, even if your child currently rides the bus. We will be collecting this information electronically through ParentSquare using the form attached to this post. If you need help in locating or filling out a form on ParentSquare, please click here: https://www.parentsquare.com/feeds/75861574.
Failure to submit this form will result in transportation for your child being delayed at the beginning of the school year in August.
The deadline for submitting this form will be Thursday, April 30, 2026. All requests made after this date must be made in-person at your school.
You must have a registered ParentSquare account to complete this form. For information on registering your account, please visit https://www.cabarrus.k12.nc.us/parentsquare. For questions or to request a paper copy of the transportation request form, please contact your current school's transportation point-of-contact. To make changes to the form once it has been submitted, you will also need to contact your current school's transportation point-of-contact.

Please spread the word with your family and friends! Kindergarten registration for the 2026-27 began on February 2nd. Our official Kindergarten Registration page will be updated soon with information for the Class of 2039 including on-site registration opportunities at our elementary schools.

Robotics is an engaging way to integrate all facets of STEM Education into the classroom and competition is a natural way to capture student attention. During the excitement that comes with building and competing with a robot, CCS VEX campers will be having too much fun to realize they are learning important STEM concepts and life skills! Campers will first experience the thrill of building their robots and then take on the challenge of competing in a variety of tournament-style games. Campers will also learn to code their robots and operate them in skills-based challenges.
If your child is curious about robotics or coding – this is the place to be! No prior robotics or coding experience necessary.
VEX GO: Campers will explore the exciting world of robotics in this hands-on camp using the VEX GO Robotics Kit! Campers will work in small teams to build simple robots, experiment with movement and simple machines, and complete fun engineering challenges. Cost: $150
NEW Lego Robotics: Get ready to build, code, and create! In LEGO Robotics Summer Camp, students will work in teams to design and build robots using LEGO pieces and learn how to program them to move, sense, and complete fun challenges. Campers will explore basic engineering and coding concepts while solving problems, testing their ideas, and improving their designs. Cost: $150
VEX IQ: Join us for an action-packed robotics experience where students become engineers! At VEX IQ Robotics Summer Camp, campers will design, build, and program robots using the VEX IQ Robotics System. Working in teams, students will tackle exciting challenges, test their creations, and compete in friendly robot competitions. Cost: $300
VEX V5: Build, program, and compete in this exciting robotics camp using the VEX V5 Robotics System. Students will work in teams to design and build robots, learn programming basics, and tackle engineering challenges inspired by the VEX Robotics Competition. The week ends with a fun mini-competition where teams put their robots to the test! Cost: $300
Once you select the week in the first question, camp options by grade level will appear. Note that camp location spots will be be based on a first come, first serve basis and are not confirmed until payment is received. Payments can be made through K-12 Payment Center OR by mailing a check.

For the week of Apr.6-10 students with the last names A-H may have visitors for lunch time. Visitors must be listed in Infinite Campus (previously PowerSchool) as approved contact. If you need to add a contact for your child, please contact the main office.
If you are celebrating a birthday, store bought cupcakes may be brought in . Cakes and balloons are not permitted.

Starting on the first day of school, August 11th, all car rider traffic will need to enter at CC Griffin Middle School and travel down the newly paved road into Patriots.
Buses & Staff will still use the main Patriots drive.
Cars will exit the main Patriots drive.
Here are details about the route:
Note: In afternoon only, we will use both lanes of newly paved service road to enter Patriots.
Also, please allow CC Griffin Staff to pass through to enter their parking lot.
Please note, in the mornings, if you arrive at the school after 8:15am, you will need to park and walk your child in. Students will be marked tardy if they are not in their classroom by 8:15. Drop off is allowed as early as 7:45am.
Additionally In the afternoons, if you arrive at the station where our staff is entering car rider numbers (by the Spirit Rock & gravel staff parking lot) after 3:15pm, you will need to park and come in to the office to pick up your student.

CCS is continuing to use this school bus tracking app. Parents can track their student's bus location on this app. Currently the messaging portion is not active yet, so if a sub bus is running it won’t show the sub bus number or info. But otherwise should be working to track regular buses.

Elementary staff will not use Infinite Campus for grades, so parents will not see grades within the Parent Portal. You can use this portal to monitor attendance and update emergency phone numbers.

- Elementary School: Students are not allowed to utilize electronic devices from arrival on campus through departure from campus. Students are required to power off and securely store their cell phones away from their person throughout the school day.
- Middle School: Students are not allowed to utilize electronic devices from arrival on campus through afternoon dismissal. Students are required to power off and securely store their cell phones away from their person throughout the school day. Students engaged in after-school activities will have access to their electronic devices for communicating with parents/guardians.
- High School: Students are not allowed to utilize electronic devices during instructional time. Students may use electronic devices during non-instructional times which may include arrival/dismissal, breakfast/lunch, and class change. During instructional time, students are required to power off and securely store their electronic devices away from their person.

The spirit rock allows you to recognize a student, share your school spirit, thank a staff member, or any other celebratory event. This is a great way to spread positivity at our school. The spirit rock is located across the main drive from the bus parking lot.
